Toby Knapp amps, effects, action figures.

I've never really been into effects. I've never owned a rack or proper pedal board system. I would rather collect lp's, cassettes, cd's, books on music, occult (even comics) and the occasional vintage Marvel action figure. I like amp generated delay and/or reverb and I always have a basic Boss Distortion pedal (the orange one) or an Ibanez Tube Screamer.

I use that old Boss ME-30 to tune my guitar and sometimes for recording clean guitars and wah pedal. The Jeff Beck "Becko" factory preset is actually really good.

With amplifiers I keep it simple. I've used various Marshall heads 99% of the time. Through the years I've used the 50 Watt tube head from the 70's. A 50 watt 2x12 combo from the early 80's, several mid eighties Mosfet and Artist heads and more recently MG models as preamps into Marshall AVT 50s. When I was a kid I used 12 watt Marshall Micro stack heads as preamps into Crate Amplifiers- that sounded good! I've blown a few amps up and one I spilt a Vodka Bloody Mary all over in 94'.
